The 4 filters we applied
Out of 60+ PCM career options in coaching brochures, only those passing all four filters made the cut.
1. Income floor
Entry > Rs 5 LPA OR clear path to Rs 15 LPA in 7 years. Below this, cannot insulate 4-member family from inflation in tier-1 city by 2035.
2. AI-resistance
Will it exist in recognisable form in 2035? Three sub-tests - physical/manual presence, legal accountability, high-stakes judgement under uncertainty.
3. Foreign portability
Can you earn USD/EUR/AUD/CAD/AED with clear visa path? Hedges INR depreciation (~50% loss vs USD over 15 yrs).
4. Family stability stack
Salary + medical insurance + pension/EPF + housing loan + child school admission + community respect. Salary alone is not stability.

Year by year - Class 11 to first job
Lock the foreign-option exam early. Save 30%+ of first salary. Foreign move ideally before age 30 (visa age points).

Lock subjects - PCM + ideally B (PCMB) for medicine optionality
Income + AI-resistance + foreign + family stability + entry feasibility.
Hybrid strategy we recommend most - If your child is above-average PCM with no extreme single-direction passion - take PCMB in 11-12 (keep medicine open), aim IIT/IIIT/BITS via JEE in CSE+AI or Electronics/VLSI, in parallel write NDA + UPSC prelims as backup. By age 28 - own a home, term + health insurance for whole family, parents' medical secured. Not the highest-upside path. Highest-probability happy path for next 30 years.
